Dijana Soininen joined the Spinverse team as Head of People and Culture a few months ago to help us nurture and evolve our company culture in times of rapid growth. We wanted to ask her about her first impressions at Spinverse and her insights into company culture and our work environment.
Business Finland has just granted a total of EUR 60 million for three new Veturi projects to be led by the leading companies Nokia, Wärtsilä and TietoEVRY. In return for the funding, the leading companies make a commitment to increase their research, development and innovation (RDI) activities in Finland by a total of more than 350 M€. At the same time, hundreds of new RDI jobs will be created in the coming years.
The extensive joint development of LuxTurrim5G ecosystem led by Nokia and coordinated by Spinverse has reached a key milestone, as the development phase of the smart pole, data platform and related smart city services is successfully completed. The multi-disciplinary consortium of 26 partners has achieved solid results and the development consortium is planning for more extensive pilots in real urban environments and is starting to commercialize the solution.

This week has been the European Hydrogen week! On Monday the 29th November, the Horizon Europe Clean Hydrogen Partnership was officially launched, following the footsteps of Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking. This brand new partnership will have a budget of 2 B€, and it is a joined collaboration between The Commission, Hydrogen Europe and Hydrogen Europe Research. Industryhack Oy, a consulting company specialised in co-creation methods, and an innovation consulting company Spinverse Oy have reached an agreement where the operating assets of Industryhack business are transferred to Spinverse. As a result of this asset deal, Spinverse strengthens their ecosystem program management services, expertise on challenge-based development operations, and the network of innovative SMEs.
The CBE partnership worth 2 billion euros between the European Union and the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) is the successor of BBI partnership. Bio-based industries are considered to be a key enabler of the green transition towards a resilient and environmentally sustainable EU economy. The CBE JU’s Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) and the Work Programme for 2022 are expected to be adopted in Q1-Q2 of 2022, after which the first CBE JU call for project proposals will be launched, bringing growth opportunities to companies working in this sector.
