We are inspired by the fresh perspectives and talents that each new member brings to the Spinverse team. Today, we are delighted to welcome two new colleagues, Mukesh Israni and Fanny Groundstroem, who will contribute their skills and experience to our collective success.
The PHEMS project consortium led by Helsinki University Hospital (HUS) will advance data-driven research and innovation activities in pediatrics and the use of privacy-preserving datasets in Europe. The project’s aim is to overcome important barriers that currently hinder cross-border collaboration on health data by developing and validating a decentralized federated health data ecosystem. This will enable an ecosystem without central data repositories or release of sensitive personal health data from hospitals. The proposal preparation was supported by Spinverse.
Spinverse works intensively to support its Swedish customers in applying for funding from the Swedish Energy Agency's Industriklivet, a national financing programme launched by the Swedish government. The support is based on 20 years of experience in proposal work and includes an experience-based, efficient and well-structured process covering all relevant aspects of the proposal scope. Spinverse experts offer the Industriklivet proposal support as a separate assignment or a step in the execution of a grant funding roadmap covering national as well as international (EU) grant funding opportunities.
Ponsse, a leading manufacturer of forest machinery, and its technology company Epec, have together launched the FORWARD´27 project which aims to significantly reduce the emissions and environmental impact of mobile work machinery used in forestry and other heavy industries. The 10M€ funding granted by Business Finland challenge for leading companies will help the FORWARD’27 ecosystem develop solutions for intelligent, zero-emission vehicles for off-road and commercial use. Spinverse supported Ponsse and Epec in the project preparation phase and is now contributing to the management and coordination of the FORWARD’27 project, which had its launch event in September 2023.
Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council has chosen Spinverse to create a strategic roadmap towards an increase in the region’s investment in research, development and innovation (RDI). An understanding of the status of RDI activities in the region and a visionary roadmap towards the future will be created in the participatory process with local stakeholders in the coming months.
As a result of the recent agreement reached between the European Union and UK, researchers and organisations in the UK will be able to participate in Horizon Europe at the same level with their counterparts in EU Member States and will have access to Horizon Europe funding. This welcome change comes into force as of 1st of January 2024.
The next round of funding calls for Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Transport will open in the end of September 2023. This major funding programme focused on large-scale infrastructure investments offers numerous opportunities for public and private entities alike with a funding rate ranging between 30-50%.
