Do you need funding for your SME? Are you aiming to commercialize your idea by founding a startup in the coming year? Or maybe you need to accelerate the development of your innovation to reach the market? Either way, EU funding might have open calls that will help you do just that! Of course, you can participate in large Horizon Europe calls in collaboration with academics, non-for-profits, large enterprises, and other SMEs, however, you may want to go for a smaller consortium or apply on your own.   

Spinverse had the pleasure of coordinating FlexiGrid, a 10M€ project which created a data management platform integrating cutting-edge technologies and services. The four-year project has focused on enabling distribution system operators to keep pace with the growth of variable renewable electricity sources. The FlexiGrid project has now come to an end with potential to be replicated, also paving the way for future research and providing input for policy decisions in the future.

The FinHITS project funded by EU4Health programme will expand Findata’s digital business capabilities, as well as establish and strengthen its connection with HealthData@EUinfrastructure. Spinverse experts supported the successful application process.

Helsinki-Uusimaa region aims to become Europe's most innovative region by 2030 and ramp up RDI investments to five percent of the region's GDP. The roadmap defines the region's strengths and ways to promote research, development and innovation (RDI) activities through leading clusters and expertise. The roadmap work led by Spinverse in collaboration with MDI provides concrete ways to increase EU-level RDI activities in Helsinki-Uusimaa. 

The ECS Brokerage Event 2024 in Brussels combines the brokerage activities of the industry associations AENEAS, EPoSS and INSIDE into one vibrant networking event. The event is dedicated to project proposals in the field of Electronic Components and Systems for the Chips JU Calls 2024 for the non-initiative part (former KDT JU). Spinverse is proud to have contributed to a successful funding decision for Biorefinery Östrand from the EU’s Innovation Fund. Biorefinery Östrand, a company jointly owned by Swedish SCA and Finnish energy company St1, signed an agreement with the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) in mid-December 2023.

Swedish solar energy company Midsummer was selected in June 2023 by the EU to receive a significant grant to boost a self-sufficient solar energy production in Europe. The 32M€ funding, granted by the highly competitive EU Innovation Fund, is awarded to construct a new 200 MW mega factory in Sweden to produce CIGS (copper, indium, gallium and selenide) thin film solar cells. Spinverse contributed to the successful funding decision by providing expert services in the project application phase.

Solar Foods is leading a ground-breaking HYDROCOW consortium project to develop a novel biotechnology platform introducing new ways to produce sustainable food, materials, medicine and chemicals. Spinverse funding experts worked with the project consortium for their successful project proposal, which was selected for funding by the European Innovation Council (EIC) from more than 400 contesting teams.
