IMCG, now part of Spinverse, was a key partner in the HORIZON 2020 EU funded project, IRIS (Integrated and Replicable solutions for co-creation in Sustainable cities), which received 18 million euros in funding and aimed to accelerate the adoption of smart sustainable city solutions across Europe. Over the course of the five and a half years until March 2023, the project brought together more than 50 partners and seven European cities with a mission to build a more sustainable future for our cities and the people who call them home.

Last week was a truly momentous occasion for us at Spinverse. Being recognized as one of the best workplaces in Finland was an incredible achievement, and it prompted me to reflect on what sets us apart from other companies and makes us a great place to work.

The annual list of Finland's best workplaces by Great Place to Work was announced on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Spinverse was ranked among Finland's best workplaces in this year's survey by Great Place to Work. 

We are excited to introduce our newest team members, a group of accomplished professionals whose skills and expertise will help take Spinverse to the next level. With backgrounds in business development, innovation funding, project management, healthcare, and marketing, our new additions bring a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives to our team. We cannot wait to see what we’ll achieve together.

Spinverse team gathered at the Spinverse office in Keilasatama in February for some festivities for our CEO Laura Koponen. We raised a toast to our CEO Laura Koponen who reached a milestone of 15 years of service with Spinverse.

Back in August 2022, Spinverse joined forces with the Swedish company IMCG International AB to extend Nordic leadership in innovation funding consulting. A few months in, IMCG co-founders Magnus Andersson and Jonas Norrman now discuss the strong impact the strengthened Spinverse team is making through the customer projects in the Nordics and elsewhere in Europe. 

In December, we welcomed yet a another group of skilled and experienced experts to the Spinverse team to enforce our service offering and competence in industry investments, energy sector, digital services and health technologies. Great to have you onboard Katri, Antti, Rodrigo, Sukant and Juho. 

More and more companies keep diversity and inclusion on their agenda, and it is indeed an important topic and initiative to embrace and develop. Do we understand the importance of diversity and what is behind it – is there actually more than meets the eye and how can companies benefit from in-depth diversity? Our Head of People and Culture Dijana Soininen delves deeper into the intricacies of this interesting topic.

Our Health team and ICT & Electronics team are delighted to announce that Jeroen Pouwels and SangEun Park have recently joined Spinverse. Jeroen’s wide expertise on molecular life sciences and R&D experience in oncology, among others, will be a significant addition to the subject matter expertise for our customers in the health sector. The ICT & Electronics team is looking forward to SangEun’s contribution in supporting the customer projects in various administrative tasks to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Evolver Fund I has on 30 September 2022 acquired a controlling interest in Finnish innovation funding consultancy Spinverse Oy. Evolver joins Spinverse as growth partner and will continue to pursue international growth together with Spinverse management and personnel. Founder Pekka Koponen and CEO Laura Koponen remain significant shareholders, while Laura Koponen continues to lead the company as CEO and Pekka Koponen takes up the position as Vice-Chair. The management team together with senior personnel also make equity investments in the company. Spinverse is the Fund’s fifth investment.
