The Industrial Technologies conference was organised for the third time in April 2014. The event took place in Athens during the Greek Presidency of the European Council, and gave an outlook to European and global developments and latest innovations in the fields of nano and biotechnology, advanced materials, and new production technologies. It was a tremendous success with over 1,300 participants from more than 60 countries around the world.  Spinverse had an important role as one of the main co-organisers of the event.

The Green Growth & Cleantech Summit 25.2.2014 in Helsinki brought together over 600 top Finnish influencers and experts. Tekes’ Green Growth programme, coordinated by Spinverse, was one of the main partners of the event.

Luc Jones of Antal Russia wrote in his recent publication: “Russia is not a country where you can just show up and make a quick buck – you need to be in it for the long term. Many have tried and failed, but even more have done extremely well in Russia.” Finnish-Russian economic co-operation has been intensively in the spotlight recently, as the growing Russian market offers plenty of business opportunities for Finnish companies. Though entering the Russian market requires careful planning, and it is vital to get expert advice.

Large corporations join Slush too!

The present year's Slush happening was a demonstration in force for Finland. 5000 people attended, 1000 companies, 100 billions worth of capital investors as well as domestic and foreign celebrities ranging from the President of Estonia to Miss Finland.

The European Commission is launching the biggest Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, Horizon 2020. Its budget of 70 billion for seven years is the biggest of its kind in the world. In the previous Framework Programme, Finland was a net recipient: we received 1.33 times more money than we contributed. Many things will change this time around and there is a possibility that we’ll be left with nothing.

Both Neste Oil and start-up Ekolite are developing new business from waste formed in the production process as part of the Tekes Green Growth programme. Moreover, these new processes save resources and the environment.

Making Finland a pioneer in sustainable economy business

Green Growth Programme coordinated by Spinverse arranges the most inspiring sustainable economy event of the year on Wednesday 6th of June, 2012 at Hernesaari, Helsinki. This main seminar of the Tekes Green Growth programme brings together entrepreneurs and top influencers of the green economy to create new Finnish sustainable economy business.

Green business offers a great opportunity to enhance global economic growth. Green growth leans on economically viable business models, which support the development of products and services with environmental benefits and reduce resource use and waste. Compared to traditional business models, these business models have a lower environmental impact. To these end, Green growth and eco-innovations have been given high priority on the agenda of governments and institutes such as OECD, UN and EC. In Finland, the Ministry of Employment and the Economy has recently started a strategic programme for environmental business.

Spinverse Oy has been selected to coordinate Tekes Green Growth programme (2010-2015; 79 M€).

The programme aims to support the generation of innovations enabling significant leaps in energy and material efficiency and to create foundation for the development of new value networks based on green growth. The vision of the programme is that Finland will have leading expertise and understanding related to sustainable energy and natural resources use. This will provide Finnish companies a competitive advantage in the international market.
