EU Innovation Fund to grant EUR 21.5 million to Lixea’s groundbreaking “L1X” biorefinery project

Lixea Sweden AB, a technology development company with a mission to repurpose waste into profitable and sustainable materials, has been granted EUR 21.5 million by the Innovation Fund. The grant will be used to build and operate a commercial pilot plant, demonstrating a completely new method for biomass fractionation based on ionic liquids. The project will enable the replacement of fossil materials with biobased alternatives in applications where it has not been previously possible, thereby advancing the transition to a bio-based economy. Spinverse experts supported Lixea in their successful funding proposal.

Spinverse supported Nokian Tyres in designing a comprehensive  FUTUREPROOF programme receiving EUR 20 million funding from Business Finland to develop future mobility solutions

Nokian Tyres announced in its release published yesterday 26th Feb 2025 that it is to lead the FUTUREPROOF research, development and innovation programme to confront the key challenges of future mobility through solutions related to for example the digitalisation of tires and traffic, sustainable product lifecycle and advanced manufacturing technologies. The tire maker said that the mission of the five-year programme is to futureproof resilient European on- and off-road mobility by crosslinking industries to join the common cause. Spinverse supported Nokian Tyres in building the FUTUREPROOF plan and securing funding for this ambitious R&D&I  programme.

Decarbonising transport: The Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility call

The European Union is driving forward its sustainable transportation agenda by allocating EUR 1 billion to the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility (AFIF) for 2024-2025. Three completed projects within the CleverHealth network show promising results in areas advancing healthcare

The CleverHealth Network ecosystem led by HUS Helsinki University Hospital has been a hub of groundbreaking projects aimed at transforming healthcare through innovation and collaboration. Spinverse has been facilitating this ecosystem every step of the way from its preparation and establishment in 2017. Three projects were recently completed, demonstrating significant outcomes: E3 Excellence in Pandemic Response and Enterprise Solutions (E3), eCare for Me, and the EU project AICCELERATE.
