Innovation expertise for boosting international growth of Finnish SMEs

Into is a new funding service offered in Finland by Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation, to boost the international growth of SMEs. It provides the SMEs opportunities to strengthen their innovation competencies in order to grow into international markets.

Funding can be applied to acquire the best possible expertise and consultancy services for developing the company’s innovation activities, such as IPR related matters or new business, product and service development. Startups and companies in early stages of their innovation activities can also apply, as the funding service is aimed for promoting business growth through innovation.

In the application, the company and Tekes decide on 2-5 clear and measurable goals to be achieved with the  Into funding. The funding covers 50% of the project’s overall budget, with the size of the funded project defined by the company’s own goals and resources.
