Contributing to the well-being of European citizens with Horizon Europe funding by innovative solutions harnessing data and AI
The health teams at Spinverse, led by Rohit Sood and Jayden Khakurel, have had a busy spring with several clients whilst concepting and preparing various innovative and complex project proposals for the calls falling under Horizon Europe programmes in clusters 1 and 4. When successful, the impact of these projects will be life-changing to many people suffering from serious illnesses or mental issues. What is more, the proposed projects aim to enhance European healthcare research infrastructure (RI) and a more secure use of sensitive patient data.

The health team at Spinverse consists of a diverse group of highly qualified, knowledgeable, and experienced colleagues or young talents. They all share a passion in their respective fields of expertise in the health domain. This spring, they have worked intensively with the clients to design project proposals for several Horizon Europe calls.
The projects we designed together with our clients fall under several HORIZON EUROPE calls: designing medical devices, AI-driven data operations and technologies, personalized prevention of non-communicable diseases, innovative non-animal human-based tools for biomedical research, bioprinting, biomaterials, and advancing the state-of-art of European health research infrastructures with digital technologies such as AI, VR/AR.
Health and life sciences are among the priority areas of Horizon Europe

Horizon Europe has several funding instruments that target different types of projects and challenges in healthcare and life sciences. Under the Horizon Europe funding instrument, we worked on projects falling under Cluster 1: Health (destinations "Staying healthy in rapidly changing society”, "Tackling diseases and reducing disease burden” and "Unlocking the full potential of new tools, technologies and digital solutions for a healthy society") but also under Cluster 4: Digital, Industry and Space. These destinations clearly demonstrate the wide range of different funding opportunities for the health sector to focus on.
Director Rohit Sood says: “We feel not only privileged to be working with such innovative clients but also happy to bring together so many actors from hospitals, RTOs, academia, large companies, SMEs and patient organisations who collectively aim to tackle the myriad of challenges of our times linked to the health domain.”
The results of the applications are expected to be announced in the range of June-August 2024. We at Spinverse are positive that our clients’ project proposals will be highly competitive and innovative to stand out from the competition as they now are undergoing evaluation.
