Changes in Spinverse organisation as well as promotions and fresh talent
Whilst welcoming the new year 2024, we are sharing some news on organisational changes at Spinverse and promotions of our colleagues. We also welcome a new colleague to Spinverse.
Organisational changes within Digital Industries business unit
We are sad to announce that our VP for Digital Industries, Patrick Halford, will be leaving us to pursue new challenges. Whilst being always thankful for Patrick’s leadership, insights, energy and relentless support for everyone, we are happy to welcome Veera Mustonen to step in Patrick’s shoes. Veera has been an integral part of Spinverse since 2021 leading the Smart Cities & Mobility team with dedication. She is excited to take charge of digital industries business unit and continuing to work with the excellent team. Veera brings a wealth of experience to her new role, holding a Master's degree in cognitive science and boasting over 20 years of expertise in research, development, and innovation across various sectors, including industry, academia, consulting, and public-private innovation ecosystems. With this organisational change, Veera will become the member of the Spinverse management team.
Antero Vesterinen from the Smart Cities & Mobility team will take over Veera’s role as a Team Leader. Antero has been with Spinverse for 6 years and continues to demonstrate his strengths on funding instrument expertise and project management. Antero is excited about his new role as a Team Leader, and the team will surely benefit from Antero’s systematic way of working, networking skills and calm approach even in the toughest of situations.
The career paths of Sameer Khan and Jayden Khakurel show a strong upward trend upon them taking on new responsibilities and putting in an extra effort to succeed.
Sameer Khan, B.E. (Mech.) is promoted to Principal Consultant. Sameer joined us in 2021 and is an experienced B2B professional who has been focusing on Industrial, Service, Consulting & Tech business. At Spinverse, Sameer has contributed to our customer projects across industries; by conceptualizing projects (demand analysis, technology solutioning, business strategy & business models). On top of that, he has also been leading Generative AI strategy and implementation regarding technology & competence development and integrating it into daily operations.
Jayden Khakurel, D.Sc. (Tech.), MBA, is promoted to Digital Health & Data Leader, reporting to Director for Health, Rohit Sood. With his promotion, Jayden will be leading a newly established sub-team, focusing on supporting Spinverse clients on digital health, data, metaverse and artificial intelligence (AI) in the health sector. Jayden aims to create a substantial impact on patient outcomes and experiences by harnessing the potential of current and emerging digital technologies. Jayden's extensive experience includes working with complex cross-border exchange of patient’s health data derived from multiple sources and incorporating privacy preserving, AI techniques to create value for patients and boost health system efficiency. Through these contributions, he has been instrumental in driving customer projects that strive to enhance health outcomes in the European Union. Jayden has wide expertise on key digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Metaverse and Internet of Things (IoT).
Welcoming our new colleague Sabin
Our latest addition to Spinverse is Sabin Sathyan, D.Sc. (Tech.), who joins us as Project Manager in the Health team led by Rohit Sood. Sabin's global journey has spanned three continents, cultivating a rich tapestry of experience and expertise. Prior to joining Spinverse, he was working as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering at Aalto University in Finland, specializing in Neuromodulation, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Neuroimaging and Brain Computer Interface. Sabin earned his Doctoral degree in Electromagnetics and Machines from Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering.
Sabin’s professional journey includes contributions to the fields of Electrical Machines, Electromechanics, and Biomedical Engineering across Australia, Germany, and India. The transition from research to industry marks an important moment in Sabin's career, fuelled by his passion for health technologies and neuroscience. Sabin is all for the circular economy and sustainable innovations and his enthusiasm finds a home at Spinverse, where he aspires to contribute to a world where equality and equity are not revolutionary ideals but fundamental human rights. Sabin is a vocal supporter of mental health, LGBTQ rights, and broader human rights causes, reflecting his commitment to fostering an inclusive and compassionate society.
