Industryhack joins Spinverse
Industryhack Oy, a consulting company specialised in co-creation methods, and an innovation consulting company Spinverse Oy have reached an agreement where the operating assets of Industryhack business are transferred to Spinverse. As a result of this asset deal, Spinverse strengthens their ecosystem program management services, expertise on challenge-based development operations, and the network of innovative SMEs.

– We have followed the Industryhack story and their pioneering work for several years. Therefore, we are very excited to acquire the Industryhack brand and their key persons to further strengthen the Spinverse services, says Spinverse founder and Chairperson Pekka Koponen.
Industryhack is focused on helping large industry companies to launch development projects boosting digitalisation and sustainability. Industryhack has organised 80 challenge competitions to their customers, attracting more than 500 innovative SMEs in the process. Thanks to this asset deal, Spinverse can offer their customers productised services to lead ecosystems and more business opportunities to the network of SMEs.
– With Spinverse, we can get access to a Europe-wide network and gain stronger muscles to build an SME ecosystem promoting green transition and digitalisation, says the founder of Industryhack Petri Vilén. Mr. Vilén, also known as a former leadership team member of Slush, will join Spinverse as a Creative Director. The key persons of Industryhack will move to work at Spinverse and as advisors.
Spinverse is the Nordic leader of managing and bringing together large, company-led R&D projects and ecosystems with offices in Finland, Sweden, and Germany. It collaborates with several of the largest European companies and most of the largest ones in Finland. As a company focused on digitalisation and green transition, Spinverse employs 70 experienced experts from 14 countries, specialised in R&D project management and innovation funding. In 2020, Spinverse revenue was 7.1 million euros with a business result of approx. 1 million euro and exports to 20 countries. The company aims to double their revenue by 2024 by means of organic growth and company acquisitions.
