T Control Oy has installed a fuel cell backup power unit at the TeliaSonera base station in the Vuosaari harbour area. There is no time lag in the use of the power unit and its service interval can be up to five years.
The installation of the backup power unit in the Vuosaari harbour was announced at the annual seminar of Tekes Fuel Cell Programme (Tekes is the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation). The backup power unit installation is the first part of the grand finale of the Spinverse managed DEMO 2013 project. In the near future, a hydrogen refueling station by Woikoski Oy will also be installed in the harbour.
