As a postdoctoral associate at the Sahlgrenska Academy, Gothenburg University, his research focused on the origins of neuroblastoma and its metabolic connections. Additionally, he served as the chairperson of the Sahlgrenska Academy Network Platform, where he played an important role in fostering academia-industry collaborations.
Tafheem earned his Ph.D. in neuroscience from the Friedrich Miescher Institute, Novartis, in Basel, Switzerland. Nuhamin completed her Ph.D. in Medical Health Sciences at Karolinska Institutet, where she contributed to the Horizon EU project called NEVERMIND. This project developed a digital health system to help patients with somatic illnesses self-manage their mental health through an app and a sensorized shirt.
Her research evaluated the system’s effectiveness in reducing depressive symptoms and assessed its usability, acceptability, and satisfaction among breast and prostate cancer patients. In addition to her Ph.D., Nuhamin holds a Master's in Epidemiology from Karolinska Institutet. She has also written several successful EU grant applications, including for Horizon and the EIC Accelerator. Nuhamin is excited to continue her work in digital health at Spinverse while gaining new knowledge in challenging and innovative projects.
