The Graphene Flagship will sail to EuroNanoForum 2013

The European Commission has chosen Graphene as one of Europe’s first 10-year, 1,000 million euro FET flagships. The mission of the flagship is to take graphene and related layered materials from academic laboratories to society, revolutionise multiple industries and create economic growth and new jobs in Europe.

The EuroNanoForum 2013 (18-20 June in Dublin), organised jointly by Spinverse and Enterprise Ireland, will host high profile speakers presenting on the topic: on the 18th of June, Professor Andrea Ferrari of University Cambridge will present the forthcoming activities, purpose and strategy of the Graphene Flagship. Why is the initiative important in Europe and how can you get involved? The following day Tapani Ryhänen, Laboratory Director of Nokia Research Laboratories, brings up the industrial point of view – discussing how graphene can morph mobile communications and Professor Klaus Müllen of Max-Planck Institute will elaborate on the past, present and the future of commercialisation of graphene.
