Solar energy supply and demand is growing constantly. Many new solar energy construction projects are being launched in Finland. Finnish technology companies are at the forefront of development. In addition to export transactions, new businesses and job creation are expected to arise significantly from this sector in the near future.
A seminar, recently organized by the Tekes programmes Groove and Functional Materials, which is coordinated by Markku Heino from Spinverse Oy, gathered the most important domestic actors in the solar energy sector and presented concretely new demand and supply for the sector.
Examples of development in Finland: automation and electronics component manufacturer Cencorp will start the manufacturing of solar panels in Finland. Savosolar and PolarSol have specialized in new generation solar thermal collectors and have already started the industrial production in Finland.
