New updates and features in Spinbase EU funding search tool

With the Horizon 2020 programme about to end, the proposed 100 B€ successor programme Horizon Europe will soon commence. Many organisations have already started planning and improving their internal processes to be more pro-active regarding the upcoming opportunities. While we are all waiting for more news on the progress of Horizon Europe, we are excited to announce the release of the newest features in our Spinbase to provide you with even better support in finding the right EU funding calls or partners for your project.

As you probably know, it is increasingly challenging to find the matching funding calls or partners considering the newly introduced programmes. You are faced with tight deadlines and multi-disciplinary topics are being published in several different domains, while the functionalities of official resources can be limited.

You may already have heard about Spinbase, our AI-enabled EU funding and partner search tool. Spinbase provides more freedom and simplicity in searching, bringing funding and partnerships data from tens of different resources under one single platform, and gives you recommendations for the best matching opportunities.

Over the past few months, we have been tirelessly working to improve our product to better meet our customers’ expectations.

What are the new changes all about?

1. From now on, Spinbase will show you all the organisations that have raised their interest on a specific topic through European Commission databases.
2. In addition to the previous PowerPoint export function, we have also added a Word (.docx) export option, providing you the whole text of a call topic in Word format.
3. And the biggest change: Starting from Dec 2020, we will switch to a newer version of our AI-enabled search engine. The new engine is going to massively improve the search results as the algorithm is updated and additional criteria is defined for the best matching search results. The new engine has a lot more capabilities than the current one and will be smarter and faster than the current engine, providing more qualified results than before.

What comes next?

At the moment, the Spinbase database includes more than 25 major EU funding programmes, such as Horizon 2020, 3HP, EDIDP, LIFE, Erasmus+, InnovFund, CREA, AGRIP and COSME. During the upcoming months, we will expand our database to include even more funding programmes. As a result, you can expect to see the following programmes in Spinbase:

• Horizon Europe (HE)
• Digital Europe Programme
• EUREKA
• Connecting Europe Facility (CEF)
• Interreg Europe
• NordForsk, and more
