We are happy to introduce our new colleagues in the energy, industrial investments, bioeconomy and health teams, based in Espoo or Gothenburg. Katarina Frotjold, Jami Kuusisto, Paula Sarsama, Anna Olsson Fladby and Tetyana Chumak will bring onboard a vast amount of expertise! Read on to learn more about them.

Katarina Frotjold (M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering) has joined Spinverse Gothenburg as Energy Team Leader, bringing with her more than 15 years of experience in renewable industries. Her expertise spans wind power, green hydrogen, battery cell manufacturing and electromobility, where she has held diverse roles in R&D, project management and leadership.

Before joining Spinverse, Katarina worked as a consultant with leading companies such as Volvo, Northvolt and several wind power enterprises, contributing to projects that advanced sustainable energy solutions and industrial transformation. She also served on the board of a start-up designing floating wind turbines, giving her unique insight into pioneering technologies that push the boundaries of renewable energy.

Katarina is excited to lead the Energy team with a strong focus on Advisory Services, ensuring our customer needs remain at the centre of every initiative. She is passionate about driving sustainability and supporting clients on their journey toward greener technologies and long-term impact. Katarina is very happy to join Spinverse and looks forward to working together with colleagues and clients to accelerate the energy transition and create lasting impact.

Jami Kuusisto (M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering) has joined the Industrial Investments team as Sustainability Consultant. Over the past seven years, Jami has built expertise in environmental impact assessment, product development and additive manufacturing within the shipbuilding industry. During that time, he also managed multiple publicly funded research projects in GHG calculations, lifecycle assessment and additive manufacturing of biopolymers.

Most recently, Jami has been leading the development of company-wide Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) strategies and tools used in steering a large ecosystem RDI project toward Net Zero products and targets. Jami describes himself as a technology-oriented team player, passionate about data-driven decision-making and collaborative development. He thrives on tackling new challenges and empowering projects and people to reach their full potential. In summer you can find him in the far reaches of archipelago sailing and exploring every small island and in winter fixing everything which is old and broken and should move but doesn't.

Paula Sarsama (M.Sc. Material Science) has joined the Bioeconomy team as a Senior Consultant, bringing with her a strong background in sustainable innovation, circular economy and biomaterials. Before joining Spinverse, Paula worked at Paptic Oy, where she led strategic initiatives to advance sustainability data management along packaging value chains and align company operations with EU Green Deal regulations.

Paula’s earlier roles include positions at Infinited Fiber Company, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and Tampere University, where she has managed large projects focused on bio-based materials, industrial green transition and circular economy. These experiences have equipped her with a deep understanding of how science, industry and society can work together to drive systemic change. Paula is passionate about helping companies navigate complex sustainability frameworks and unlock new opportunities in the green transition through open innovation and ecosystem collaboration. Outside of work, Paula is always on the move, whether it’s mountain biking or skiing up and down hills, powering through CrossFit workouts, or enjoying quality time with her daughter and their dog.

Anna Olsson Fladby (M.Sc. Management) has joined the Energy team as Project Manager, bringing with her strong experience in strategy, innovation, and commercial launch projects across multiple industries. Before joining Spinverse at our Gothenburg office, Anna worked as a management consultant, leading high-impact strategic initiatives and go-to-market projects for global industrial and consumer companies. Her previous assignments include work within leading manufacturing and retail companies, most recently at Volvo Penta, where she managed complex, cross-functional projects to drive sales transformation and operational excellence.

In addition to her consulting experience, Anna co-founded Ceiba Tree, a Swedish wellness brand carried by Sweden’s largest pharmacy, giving her a unique perspective that bridges corporate strategy and entrepreneurship. Anna is passionate about driving innovation and helping companies turn strategic ambitions into measurable results and long-term impact.

Tetyana Chumak (MD, PhD) has joined Spinverse as a Project Manager in the Health Technologies team. Based in Gothenburg, Tetyana brings over 15 years of experience in biomedical research, neuroscience and EU-funded project management. Tetyana is both a medical doctor and neuroscientist with a strong background in translational health research. Throughout her career, she has led cross-functional projects in neuroscience and neuroimmunology. Her experience spans academia, healthcare and industry, including contributions to EU-funded initiatives under FP6 and FP7 programmes.

Tetyana is excited to join Spinverse and contribute to work in health innovation and funding strategy, supporting clients in developing high-impact Horizon Europe proposals and turning scientific advances into real-world healthcare solutions. Her multidisciplinary background and passion for collaboration make her an excellent fit for Spinverse’s mission to accelerate innovation through public–private partnerships.

Warm welcome everyone – we cannot wait to see what we will achieve together!
