Karan and Mit are our new colleagues in the Manufacturing and Energy teams

We are delighted to welcome Karan Menon and Mit Surati to Spinverse. They bring their expertise and support to the Manufacturing team and Energy team.

Karan Menon, Ph.D (Tech.), joined us as a Project Manager in the Manufacturing team, reporting to Timo Ropponen. He will coordinate and support innovative customer projects from their inception to completion.

Karan has his background in academia conducting research on digital transformation and data-driven business models for manufacturing companies. During his academic career, he refined his skills in industrial and knowledge management research methods, critical thinking, academic writing, teaching, and research and investment project preparation as well as management. Karan has extensive experience in organizing and leading large research consortium projects funded by Business Finland and Academy of Finland.

Karan says: “It has already been exhilarating few weeks at Spinverse. Working in a team full of innovation enthusiasts is exciting. Looking forward to helping companies in their innovation journey with Spinverse.”

Karan holds a Ph.D (Tech.) in Management and Business from Tampere University, M.Sc. (Tech.) in Materials Science from Tampere University of Technology as well as B.Sc. (Eng.) in Chemical Engineering from Sardar Patel University, India. He was responsible for creating various international networks across Europe, the US, and Asia during his doctoral and postdoctoral work at Tampere University.

Mit Surati, M.Sc., joined the Energy team as an Analyst, reporting to Miguel Lopes. Mit relocated to Finland from Stockholm, Sweden, where he completed his Master’s in Sustainable Energy Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He has experience working in various countries for his internships, summer jobs and graduation project. His expertise is in understanding the technical aspects of different renewable energy technologies and processes including the different Negative Emission Carbon Capture Technologies and Hydrogen. Mit holds a B.Tech (Eng.) in Production Engineering with minors in Environmental and Energy Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India.

Mit says: “Spinverse is my first full-time job, and it has been an exciting first two weeks. I really felt welcomed here and it has been a pleasure interacting with my new colleagues. Moving to a new country is not easy but everyone here has been super helpful and the onboarding process at Spinverse is immaculate and makes life easy for you. The office gives out good vibes and presents a very employee-friendly work environment. Looking forward to working on projects and help making this world a better place.”
