Feasibility study: Impact entrepreneurship - this is how more companies focusing on sustainability are being created

Entrepreneurship is perceived as an important tool for quickly reaching the UN's targets for sustainable development (SDG). In a feasibility study, IMCG will investigate how we can get more motivated intrapreneurs and entrepreneurs, who want to build and develop long-term businesses that address the sustainability targets – so-called "Impact Entrepreneurs".

The efforts to develop competence that are implemented today in the form of, for example, education, challenge competitions and incubators assume, time and again, that you already have, in your opinion, a, good idea that you want to realise. But that is not enough. How do we best catch and support those who do not have a concrete business or product concept but do have commitment and a willingness to learn?

The feasibility study "Impact Entrepreneurship Competence Development" is financed by Vinnova and aims to both investigate the situation and to create momentum for change. IMCG's work includes interviewing various operators in Sweden and abroad, competitive intelligence, study visits and workshops. An important part is identifying and spreading good examples.

Three activities constitute a starting point for the research:

Chalmers: Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship

KTH: Global Development Hub

Linköping University: Right Agenda Accelerator
