Docent Markku Heino Arranges Polymer Technologies Seminar

Polymer Technologies – From Science to New Applications

Docent Markku Heino, from Spinverse is arranging a special seminar course at Aalto University in Spring 2011 gathering together leading polymer experts from both the industry and academia. The seminar is open for everyone interested in the topics.

Dates: 11.4., 3.5. and 4.5.
Location on 11.4.: Lecture hall Ke5, Kemistintie 1, Aalto University, Otaniemi, Espoo.
Location on 3.5. and 4.5.: Lecture hall E, Otakaari 1, Aalto University, Otaniemi, Espoo.

This seminar course presents highlights in polymer science and technology through a series of 17 individual lectures given by leading polymer experts both from industry and academia. The presentations touch several different areas such as modern polymer synthesis and catalysis, renewable bio-based polymer platforms, high-performance composites, biomaterials for medical applications, electronics materials and nanotechnology. The aim is give the audience up-to-date information with an industrial and application related viewpoint. All lectures are given in English.

For the audience:
The seminar is open for everyone interested in the topics! Registration is just to make sure we have seats for everyone.

For students in particular:
To complete the course KE-100.5010 Polymeeriteknologian seminaari (3 cr) you are to
-    Participate the lectures actively
-    Write learning log during the course
-    Make a literature study on a topic proposed by the lecturers
