Finnish-Russian Nanotechnology Innovation Alliance will bring together leading innovators, global industry leaders and public and private funding agencies for success of both countries. The Alliance will bring more jobs and prosperity by speeding up commercialization of nanotechnology based innovations.”, says Spinverse CEO, Pekka Koponen.
The Alliance will provide its partners access to innovation funding, partner search services, market analysis, business development and technology transfer services. The call for partners opens now and interested parties are invited to contact Spinverse. The core partners of Alliance will be announced June 2011.
Also Spinverse has announced today that it will open a representative office in St. Petersburg, at the premises of the Finnish Innovation Center in Russia – FinNode (Pr. Dobrolyubova 8). The Russian office will serve as a hub and first point of contact of the Alliance.
Finnish-Russian Nanotechnology Innovation Alliance is funded by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign affairs under the Finland's cooperation with its neighboring areas programme. The neighbouring areas programme is targeted to support economic and social development in both Finland and Russia, as well as to promote the preconditions of cooperation between the public authorities, business life and citizens.
The programme is supported by Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Finland and Russia. The Commission is chaired by Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of Finland, Paavo Väyrynen and Vice-Premier of Russia, Sergey Ivanov.
