Spinverse continues to grow in the innovation management and technology commercialisation business areas. Recently the company has hired new talent to aid in the execution of next year’s aspiring growth targets.
Lauri Tolvas had already worked in Spinverse projects via Aalto Recruiting before joining the company as an Analyst in November. He has a M.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Aalto University. “I have enjoyed my time here at Spinverse. The job I got has proved to have an exceptionally good fit with my studies – I have been able to utilize both my major in strategy and my minor in product development” says Lauri and continues “Also, the projects thus far have been engaging, and have required a nice and steep learning curve.”
Vilja Vara started as an analyst at Spinverse’s Programme Management team. She has a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Aalto University School of Science and Technology. In her Master’s Thesis she studied water-based binders for a novel negative electrode material in lithium-ion batteries. “My job is versatile and challenging, which is what I had always sought from my future career. I crave for altering, diverse projects as I have majored in chemistry and minored in physics. These requirements are thus fulfilled in my area of work at Spinverse” she comments. Tommi Ristinen has been working for Spinverse since 2009 as an Analyst before joining the team as a permanent employee. He recently graduated as a M.Sc. from the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Computational Science in Aalto University. In his Master’s Thesis, Tommi developed Technology Readiness Assessment for Spinverse and the ObservatoryNANO project. He is currently involved various assignments including the feasibility study for an Estonian materials technology programme and upcoming briefings for the ObservatoryNANO project. “The work at Spinverse is both challenging and very rewarding and I truly enjoy working here. Best part of my job is the international atmosphere and chance to work for a variety of customers in interesting projects”.
Managing Director Pekka Koponen sees the future potential as well as the immediately available excellence in the new recruits. “We are now seeing the results of our hard work in the selected markets becoming reality. With Lauri, Vilja and Tommi strengthening our team we are now well positioned for reaching the ambitious targets set for 2011.”
