Spinverse manages the DEMAPP program of the Fimecc SHOK

Spinverse started managing the Demanding Applications program (DEMAPP) of Fimecc Ltd in August 2009. The program is set for 5 years and it is worth 32 M€.

DEMAPP is one of the six programmes that Fimecc Ltd has started in 2009. Fimecc is the Finnish Metals and Engineering Cluster, one of Finland’s five new Strategic Centers of Excellence for science, technology and innovation (SHOKs).

DEMAPP aims to create profound understanding of wear mechanisms in applications for process and energy industry and to develop novel breakthrough materials with improved performance in extreme conditions. The program participants consist of several companies in the metals and engineering industry, their supplier and customer companies as well was the best research organizations in the field.

DEMAPP complements Spinverse’s program management portfolio having clear synergy with e.g. the Tekes Functional Materials Programme which Spinverse coordinates. Spinverse brings added value to SHOK program management with our effective, result-oriented, multi-skilled team and broad cross-industrial networks.
