Nanotechnology is a Game Changer
Both the scientific community and representatives of the global industry define nanotechnology
as the key technology area of the 21st century that can significantly change the rules of the game in the global market.
Could nanotechnology be a response to the major challenges humanity is currently facing? The speakers of the nanotechnology track on the 1st of November at the Open Innovations Forum certainly think so.
Leopold Demiddeleer, the hydrogen energy visionary of Europe, will show you the hydrogen energy economy in the next decade.
Sergio Kapusta, the Chief Scientist of Shell, will answer the burning issues in the oil and gas industry. Indeed – the development of hydraulic fracturing has changed the rules of the energy politics in the World.

The event promises an eye opening experience as well as a huge opportunity for international collaboration and investment, thus do not miss the nanotechnology track in the agenda of the Forum running throughout the whole day on the 1st of November.
Russian and European CTOs Form a Group of Wise Men
For most European technology leaders, Russia is a “terra incognita” - an uncharted market with wild possibilities. In the first ever Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Forum between Russia and Europe these possibilities have a chance to evolve in concrete business. At the managing R&D session at the Open Innovations Forum on the 31st of October Robert Kirschbaum and Jean Botti (CTO of EADS) will present cases for best practice innovation management in leading industrial companies. Subsequently, 25 Russian CTOs and 25 European CTOs will be provided with the discussion platform to debate about the challenges of transnational R&D collaboration, the barriers of legislation for competitiveness, as well as international collaborative demonstrations and piloting. The results of this dialogue will be delivered to decision makers to Russia and Europe. Perhaps then, also the first deals of collaboration between the companies involved will be announced. Be the first to see it at the CTO Forum session on 1st of November.
