EuroNanoForum 2015 takes place on 10-12th June 2015 in Riga, Latvia, under the auspices of the Latvian presidency of the European Union. It is organised by the University of Latvia and Spinverse in cooperation with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation and has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
Since 2003, the EuroNanoForum biannual series of conferences have grown into the most significant European forum in its field. It serves as an unparalleled platform for discussions amongst scientists, industrialists and policy makers, as well as an exceptional networking opportunity with the key decision makers. Following on from the previous successful events, EuroNanoForum 2015 will be organised in Riga during the Latvian Presidency of the European Council.
EuroNanoForum 2015 aims to contribute to strengthening European competitiveness and supporting the renewal of the manufacturing industries. It serves as a place for the global nanotechnology community to discuss the latest research findings, to convey visions for the market impact of nanotechnology and to demonstrate high value-added products at the Nanotech Europe exhibition.
“We have already proved that Latvian research and education sectors have a great export potential, thus increasing competitiveness and productivity in the manufacturing industry, which is one of the priorities for Latvia at the moment”, Education and Science Minister Ina Druviete said. “Therefore we are happy to support EuroNanoForum 2015 in Riga, with its emphasis on competitiveness and entrepreneurial capacity of the industry, promoting investment into new products and services, as well as initiatives related to research and innovation”, said the minister.
The leitmotif of the conference is the support of a European manufacturing renaissance through industrial nanotechnology and advanced materials.
